Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Miguel Cotto, billed as Ring Kings, is a Boxing Super Welterweight bout. The bout will be held on May 5, 2012, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of our time. The brash fighter has carved out a legacy in boxing, thanks to his undeniable talent in the ring and his trash-talking and out-of-the-ring antics. Floyd’s combination of freakish speed and skills and decent power have enabled him to easily defeat top-tier opposition. Still, his larger-than-life personality and antics often puts his success at risk – as is the case with his current legal woes.

Despite his antics, Mayweather’s success in the ring have had many heralding him as boxing’s undisputed pound-for-pound king since 2007. While Mayweather’s legacy is established, he is at risk of tarnishing it. Couple his current legal battles with what some perceive as his reluctance to fight Pacquiao, and many fans are turning on Mayweather.

Still, his in-ring accomplishments cannot be questioned. Mayweather’s historic defeat of Oscar De La Hoya as well as his wins over Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, DeMarcus Corley, Arturo Gatti, Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah, Ricky Hatton, Juan Manuel Marquez and Shane Mosley have truly cemented his legendary status among fans of the sport.

Cotto, who will be making the third defense of his title, will be in a fight without Top Rank as his promoter for the first time in his career. His contract with Bob Arum’s company expired following his Dec. 3 revenge, 10th-round knockout victory against Antonio Margarito and he will be working with Golden Boy Promotions, Top Rank’s archrival, on the fight with Mayweather. Miguel Ángel Cotto of Puerto Rico is the reigning WBA Super Welterweight Champion. He is the younger brother of contender Jose Miguel Cotto and cousin of Abner Cotto. As an amateur, Cotto represented Puerto Rico in the lightweight and light welterweight divisions at various international events including the 1999 Pan American Games, the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 1998 Junior World Championships where he won a silver medal.

Now at 30, Miguel is a ten-year pro. A former WBO and WBA welterweight world champion and former WBO junior welterweight world champion, he is a veteran of 18 world championship fights – his last coming against Ricardo Mayorga, whom Cotto beat by TKO in the first defense of the WBA super welterweight title he took from Yuri Foreman in 2010.

Cotto has been Puerto Rico’s brightest star and biggest draw in the ring for several years, has fought and beaten some of the sport’s biggest names, and has already had a Hall of Fame career.

He has repeatedly fought top opposition, including current or former world champions Manny Pacquiao (TKOby12), champions Joshua Clottey (W12), Antonio Margarito (TKOby11), Shane Mosley (W12), Zab Judah (TKO11), Carlos Quintana (TKO5), Paulie Malignaggi (W12), Ricardo Torres (KO7), DeMarcus Corley (TKO5), Randall Bailey (TKO6), Carlos Maussa (TKO8), and Cesar Bazan (TKO11). He has also beaten previously undefeated contender Kelson Pinto (TKO6), as well as veteran contenders Muhammad Abdulaev (TKO9), Victoriano Sosa (TKO4) and Lovemore Ndou (W12).

Hopkins vs Dawson Boxing Live streaming

The oldest fighter in boxing history to win a world title, Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins, and former World Champion “Bad” Chad Dawson will meet again to settle their heated feud following their October 2011 bout, which was originally scored as a TKO win for Dawson, but later ruled a no decision by the California State Athletic Commission. The two are ready to resume their high-stakes rivalry on Saturday, April 28 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The 12 round bout for Hopkins’ World Boxing Council (WBC) and Ring Magazine light heavyweight world championships will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET/7:15 p.m. PT.

“Chad Dawson can say whatever he wants, but I am not going to trash talk this one,” said Hopkins. “Everyone knows what I am capable of in the ring. They have seen it over 50 times before in the last 20 plus years. I will say that I am really happy that this is on HBO so that all of my fans from across the country can see me continue this unprecedented path. I absolutely want to prove that I can beat Chad Dawson, another guy that is almost two decades younger than me and I am confident I will on April 28.”

“The first fight did not go as planned, but I’m confident I was going to win that night,” said Dawson. “Hopkins is going to have to face his fears. Bernard tried to run away from me, but here we are again. I’m thrilled about the whole situation. I’m very excited to fight on the East Coast because a lot of my fans will be there to see me live. I know I’ll be ready come fight night.”

“Whenever Bernard Hopkins fights, I get the chills because he is a living legend,” said Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. “Bernard has an amazing history, having fought and defeated so many world champions. I truly believe that he and Dawson facing off in Atlantic City on HBO World Championship Boxing is a recipe for an unforgettable night.”

“The score must be settled once and for all,” said Gary Shaw, CEO of Gary Shaw Productions. “Chad Dawson has something to prove. We all know Bernard Hopkins is a future Hall of Famer, but Chad is not going to let him get away with any of his antics or funny stuff. Chad wanted this bout and now that he has it, he’s going to do whatever it takes to be a champion once again.”

“Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson have unfinished business and we look forward to televising this intriguing light heavyweight showdown,” said Kery Davis, senior vice president, programming, HBO Sports. “Bernard’s credentials as a future Hall of Famer are firmly established and he captured the world’s attention last year when he won a world title at the age of 46. Chad is an extremely talented fighter in his prime. This sets up to be a hard-fought encounter that boxing fans will be excited to see.”

“Bernard Hopkins is a world champion athlete who grew up and trained in the greater Philadelphia area, just a short ride from Atlantic City, so this fight is going to be a great draw for Atlantic City,” said Don Marrandino, Eastern Division President for Caesars Entertainment. “Some of the greatest boxing matches and sporting events have been hosted in Atlantic City and on April 28, Historic Boardwalk Hall will be the backdrop to what could be Hopkins’ most historic fights and likely one of the final bouts of his career – he’s one of the most exciting boxers to watch and one of the greatest athletes of the past 50 years.”

“Hopkins vs. Dawson: Once And For All,” a 12 round bout for Hopkins’ WBC and Ring Magazine light heavyweight world championships, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Gary Shaw Productions and sponsored by Caesars Atlantic City. The bout will take place from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey and be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing® beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET/7:15 p.m. PT.

Tickets, priced at $300, $200, $100, $50 and $25, go on sale on Thursday, February 23 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Boardwalk Hall box office, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 736-1420 or online at ticketmaster.com.

The oldest man in boxing history to win a major world title, 47-year old Bernard Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KO’s) still fights with the skill and tenacity of fighters 20 years his junior. A proud native of Philadelphia, Hopkins has not only secured a future spot in the Hall of Fame, he has solidified his place amongst athletes who have achieved greatness well into their forties. Between his 10-year title reign at middleweight and his incredible victories over Antonio Tarver, Winky Wright, Kelly Pavlik and Roy Jones Jr., all after the age of 41, Hopkins is truly a living legend. In May 2011, he reached the top of the boxing mountain once again with his stirring victory over Jean Pascal, breaking the age record previously held by George Foreman. Today, Hopkins is a few months away from breaking another record and becoming the oldest reigning champion ever as he continues to follow the path of Archie Moore, who made his last title defense at 47 years and seven months old. Should Hopkins be victorious on April 28, he will become one step closer to reaching that goal as he faces Dawson with the intention of adding another amazing achievement to his resume.

Former WBC and IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion “Bad” Chad Dawson (30-1, 17 KO’s) has long been considered one of the sport’s best pound for pound by boxing insiders and his victories over respected world champions such as Glen Johnson (twice), Antonio Tarver (twice), and Tomasz Adamek have proven that he has the talent and athleticism to stay atop his division. In 2011, the 29-year old from New Haven, Conn. bounced back from his lone loss to Pascal in 2010 with an impressive win over Adrian Diaconu, but it’s Hopkins that he really wants to add to his list of vanquished foes, and now he has his chance. Dawson is ready to end Hopkins’ victory lap as the oldest world champion and start a new chapter of his career as a newly re-crowned champion.

England - Current Series rank: 4th
England sit 18 points behind current leaders New Zealand having lost to Gordon Tietjens’ side in the Cup competition in both of the previous two rounds. Dan Norton and Mat Turner continue to impress, but Ben Ryan will be hoping his side can add to their Dubai Sevens Cup title and close the gap on the three teams above them.

England have joined pool opponents Japan in announcing their squad to compete in the second IRB Women’s Sevens Challenge Cup in Hong Kong from March 23-24. Eight players who helped England reach the final of the inaugural Sevens Challenge Cup in Dubai in December are recalled, while the likes of 2009 World Cup Sevens players, Heather Fisher and Alice Richardson, return from injury. Michaela Staniford will captain the side, joined by Rachael Burford, Isabelle Noel Smith and Georgina Roberts, who have all been crucial in England’s RBS 6 Nations campaign this season.

New Zealand - Current Series rank: 1st

New Zealand currently lead the 2011/12 Series, in no small part to four Cup final appearances in five rounds, two of which they won – in South Africa and on home soil in New Zealand. The reigning Series and Hong Kong champions will be there or thereabouts this year, but it will be interesting to see how they perform without the season’s leading try scorer Frank Halai.

New Zealand Sevens captain DJ Forbes is set to answer fans questions posted on the official Sevens Facebook page on 21 March during the captain's photo shoot in Hong Kong. DJ Forbes has lifted two Cup titles this season in Port Elizabeth and Wellington as New Zealand sit top of the overall standings. The reigning Series champions are also hoping to defend their Hong Kong Sevens title this weekend and they face pool matches with South Africa, Wales and USA.

The match betting is likely to be close when England host Ireland at Twickenham in the final match of the 2012 Six Nations on Saturday 17th March 2012. The match brings the curtain down on this year's championships and Ireland will be looking to inflict a fourth successive defeat on England in the Six Nations. England have lost each of the last three meetings with the Irish, including a stunning 24-8 defeat at the Aviva Stadium last season, where Ireland managed to deny England a Grand Slam victory with a dominant display on home soil.

Reigning Six Nations Champions, England, welcome Ireland to Twickenham in this Six Nations Clash. England have made changes to their team after a very disappointing World Cup. Their coaching staff are also in transition. Despite the changes, England made a winning start to their 2012 Six Nations Campaign with wins over Scotland and Italy but fell victim to a late fightback from Wales on March 25th. Their opponents Ireland will be looking for back to back wins against England after beating them 24-8 in Dublin last year. The game also takes place on St. Patrick's Day, so they will be even more motivated to make Irish celebrations taste even sweeter on this day. The match takes kicks off at 5.00pm on Saturday 17th March 2012.

Sean O'Brien has been recalled to the Ireland team for Saturday's Six Nations game against England at Twickenham. Flanker O'Brien replaces Peter O'Mahony after what Irish coach Declan Kidney described as "a very tough call".O'Mahony performed well in the win over Scotland after O'Brien was ruled out of the game with a foot infection.Kidney's side is otherwise unchanged, with Eoin Reddan and Donnacha Ryan again playing in the absence of injured duo Conor Murray and Paul O'Connell.Rory Best has overcome a slight rib problem and captains the side in the absence of O'Connell.Ryan took a blow to the shoulder against the Scots but has also been named in the starting XV despite taking a limited part in training this week.Best will become Ireland's most capped hooker when he makes his 59th Test appearance, eclipsing Keith Wood's milestone of 58.

Ireland have won seven of their last eight Six Nations matches against England, including three of the last four meetings at Twickenham. The contest is likely to decide who finishes runners-up with Ireland ending the competition strongly by thrashing Italy, drawing with France and blitzing Scotland."I thought Peter (O'Mahony) played really well and it was an absolutely tight selection call, but Sean has trained well and just got the nod," said Kidney."England are improving with every match and have won three games on the road, so they will be looking forward to playing at home again."They had a fine win in Paris, so that will have given them a lot of confidence," added the Ireland coach.

Since 2000, the two joint venture Clubs have clashed 23 times with the Dragons holding a 12-11 win record. The most memorable match was the 2005 preliminary final won by Wests Tigers which saw them move into the Grand Final before winning the miership a week later. At WIN Jubilee Oval – the scene for this Friday night’s round 3 premiership match – the Dragons hold a 4-1 winning record but the last 10 games shows 5 wins apiece.Farah said his team was looking forward to playing in front of a packed Kogarah crowd.

“There are always close battles between us. It goes back to the preliminary finals (2005) and since then, there is a great history between the sides,’’ Farah said.“Every time we seem to play, they are close games. Last year at Kogarah they had our measure. We came back late and almost got them towards the end but they held on.“The game at the SFS saw us get them by a couple of points and we beat them in the semi-final game (at ANZ Stadium).“They are always great battles. Very tight and very close. A good genuine 80 minute contest.”
